Cubera is a GT popper , it is not ideal for situation where the boat must keep on moving to keep up with the YFT school , the angler won't be able to retrieve the lure fast enough due to the chugging action of Cubera . With pencil type such as Tuna n Skipjack , the angler just lift the rod tip high to retrieve the lure fast to have another cast into the constantly moving
YFT school .

I wonder if Bluefin tuna can be targetted using popping method and if so , I wonder what size lures and rod/reel outfits needed to subdue such brute ?
I imagine GT rod such as WV80XH would be suitable and Stella 20000FA filled with 500m of PE6 line can handle the job , now it's up to the angler to finish the job .

Let me have your thought about this , may be I get my partner to make you a few big lures to try it and meanwhile , good luck with the trip but safety first !
