Yeah I liked jigging so much I went ahead and ordered another outfit.
I had put together two budget outfits to see how I liked jigging. My "heavy" outfit was a Penn Torque 80-130# rod and Penn Baja Special. My light outfit was a Challenger MH jigging rod and AVET JX for a "light" outfit. I really liked the Penn setup, but the other not so much. I gave my younger brother the ligther rod (which the tip top guide had already broken) and sold the AVET JX. This morning I bought an OTI 5'6" 600 gram rod and am in the process of buying a Accurate Boss 665N 2 speed reel! I also bought another light outfit. Barefoot 6' 325 gram rod and a Daiwa Saltist 30T. Yep I'm hooked!
One question. I used cheaply bought jigs from ebay on this trip and it was non-stop action. Do the expensive jigs really work better?
