I went there a few years back for a wedding. It was early May and the higher elevations were still closed with snow. In fact we were snowed on while visiting the Mariposa Grove. The whole place was spectacular! It is really nice early in the year but after things start thawing. Waterfalls everywhere. A lot dry up by summer.
