Its not always about how stiff or how much backbone a rod has.

Lots of rods are stiffer than the Wei World, my JM 400G has more backbone.
Its about enjoying, i never enjoyed a rod more than the Wei World the
flexibility and strenth and lightness is what makes this rod special.
In my opinion a stiffer and stronger rod with no flex, will tire you out
faster, that will negate the whole purpos of Japanese style of jigging.
I have jigged 8,10hrs straight and landed big fish without much effert or got tired.

Lots of people talk about the price, but the fun and enjoyment that i have received from this
jigging rod is priceless.
