I have fished the Hots... I agree with your observations. 100 percent!
However, that Hots is not fully loaded in the picture. It will stand more. It will flex past the reel seat. An awesome rod with a high price.
The Hots Wei World in a 4'8" flavor put a spinning rod on my must have list for jigging. I have been waiting on the OTI 600g since learning that the blank was to be made.
The rod is worth paying shipping to take a pull on. My observation.
