I use 2-piece Rod Rings (by Reel Colors) on a couple of Super Seekers. One with a Trini 50 and the other with a Stella 20K. The rings are behind the reel on the AFTCO reel seat and leverage using the harness and plate seems to be fine. I tested the rings to 32 lbs of drag with my harness and plate while one of my twins tried to run with the line - seemed fine. IMO, using rings on a graphite reel seat is very risky. I haven't caught a monster YFT where I can actually fight the fish with 20+ of drag but I'm confident the rings will hold up.
