regarding the accurates, the company now greases the drag washer with cal's drag grease and says that the drag remains pretty constant throughout a pretty wide temperature range. my 870 and 665 are set to 20-25#'s of drag at strike. i'd have a hard time pulling on it and noticing a difference.
the first thing i'd do is grease those drag washers. then let's see how they hold up on a long run. alan
