I used AFtco slip-over reel seat on my custom jigging rod for the intention of catching cow over 200 lbs in PV or long range boats out of San Diego at the suggestion of Japanese rod builder. But I feel it was not necessary as I've never had any problem with my other tuna jigging rods which have all Fuji Heavy Graphite reel seats. I seldom use cramps.
