I have mine on a SeaMajic 400g jigging rod, & I'm very happy w/ it
lots of good rods to put under that reel, depends how you're
primarily going to use it.now you've got to handle some rods
but you probably won't know until you jig w/ both.
My jigger is 5'6", but if you're a bigger guy, 6' may work better for you
